general information about stained glass workshops
what to expect
During the first few hours of an introduction to glasspainting workshop people discover how beautifully easy it is to paint glass with propylene glycol, and in stained glass design workshops, the centuries-old steps for designing and building an original painted stained glass window.
All workshops include straightforward, enjoyable group exercises to counteract any self-doubt or artistic insecurity, and one-on-one coaching to develop individual style. I like to gently challenge people according to their abilities, and push them to meet mini-deadlines so that everyone progresses through the curriculum without stress.

location
Workshops are held in southern Vermont near the border with western Massachusetts in the USA. The studio is situated on a quiet dirt road in Vermont's Green Mountain National Forest. Address: 359 Rue Madeline, Readsboro VT 05350.
accommodation
Our self-catering student residence Heartwell House is a newly-built post-and-beam retreat fifteen minutes walk from the studio. Here’s a one minute video.
Not driving or planning to rent a car? Book taxi service from Albany airport or nearby bus or train stations and plan to carpool with other students to buy groceries. I will introduce you to your cohort via email four weeks before the workshop starts.
COVID-19
We trust students to protect each other and our small Vermont community from novel corona viruses by getting tested where necessary, especially when traveling on public transport. Please use your own best judgement about when and whether you should get tested for covid-19.
