Menfolk: a series of 13 hand-painted stained glass windows about the emotional lives of men and boys

I am a visual artist and traditional stained glass maker with fifty years hands-on experience as a glasspainter and designer. Geometry, color, and the projection of light have been the foundation of my work in stained glass, and since 2013 I’ve been exploring mathematical projection as a way to understand the higher dimensions of space. In this this episode of Talking Out Your Glass podcast, host Shawn Waggonner’s thoughtful questions reveal the stained glass origin of my interest in geometry and mathematics. If you’re curious about my life’s work you might enjoy watching this 2024 presentation for the Stained Glass Museum at Ely Cathedral in Cambridgeshire, England.
